This is just a quick post, but I thought it might be fun!
Recently when my family and I were on our coastal vacation, my daughter needed a "fancy" dress to wear to the ocean. She wanted something flowy, long and twirly, something like this:
Not having a "flowy, long, twirly" dress magically on hand, and not wanting to buy something that she would just be wearing to the beach, I decided to diy one of my own dresses into a dress for her! I had a halter necked dress of my own that on her ended up being the perfect length (she's also pretty tall for a six year old which helped).
I tied the neck to fit her, and then safety pinned the back to fit her torso:
He he...I feel sneaky! It worked like a charm, and I had the perfect beach dress for her without sacrificing one of my own. I had a very happy girl who got to do a lot of twirling!
