Last weekend my husband and I went for a quick weekend trip to Portland, OR. We spent most of our time hanging out with my family, but on our last day we took a few hours and walked around Nob Hill and the Pearl District. We even unexpectedly got to have lunch (and tea!) with some friends of ours from Phoenix! Which was a crazy coincidence because neither of us lives in Portland, we just happened to be there at the same time.
Because Portland was undergoing a massive heat wave and it was in the 90's degrees (so to the people from Pheonix it was a break from the heat) I chose one of my favorite vintage dresses for our walking tour. This thing is probably a bit older then I am! My guess is from the early 80's. When I bought it I had to alter it a bit, taking up the hem and shortening the sleeves, and now it's perfect. And it was the right amount of light and flowy to combat the heat. I chose simple neutral wedge heels and bag to let the color really stand out. And the bag is probably even older then the dress!
This weekend we're actually going to be home for the first time in a long time. We've got some fun plans to enjoy the last few weekends of summer. If you'd like to peek at what my family and I are doing you can follow me on Instagram. Have a good weekend!
