You all may remember my Epic Football Snack Stadium I posted on Monday. Oh, you don't remember? Let me just drop this picture here to remind you:
BAM! Pretty dang cool, right? Well since I was already making the snack stadium, I thought I might as well decorate and throw a party as well, right? Of course I did. I'm a go-big-or-go-home kind of girl.
One of my favorite parts of the decor were this little penalty and challenge flag bunting made using a secret crafting supply: Skittles®! This was an easy, incredibly quick decoration that added so much to the party's 'feel.'
Want to see how to make your own in about fifteen minutes? Click through and I'll show you how to make your own penalty flag bunting.
This project just requires three little things to make:
string or yarn
cupcake liners (I used red and yellow for penalty and challenge flags)
That's it! Cheapest. Project. Ever.
Making this bunting was even easy, too! Just four simple steps:
1. For each 'flag' you'll need 1 cupcake liner and 1 piece of candy.
2. Place your candy into the center of your cupcake liner.
3. Fold your cupcake liner around your Skittle® and wrap it up good!
4. Tie your string around your cupcake liner, just below the piece of candy. Repeat this process until you have as long of a bunting as you'd like, spacing them as far apart as you need. And you're done!
I was really surprised at how easy this football bunting was to make, so much so that I think I'm going to make some in coordinating colors (non-football related) when I throw my son his upcoming birthday party. Cheap and easy customizable party decor!
