Style: Summer Blues

Dress: Old Navy // Shawl: DIY from a vintage scarf // Bag: Gap // Shoes: ? // Sunglasses: vintage // Agate Necklace: Vintage, 70's // Daisy ring: Wal Mart

Now that summer is in full swing, I've been catching myself wearing a lot of blue and white (and gold) together. All three colors are neutrals, so they combine easily and look fresh and crisp for those hot summer days.

This white and navy blue gingham dress from Old Navy has been a favorite of mine since I bought it three weeks ago. It's the best, lightest flowy fabric that keeps me cool while still looking great after a full day. I paired it with a big gold bag, nude heels, and a vintage agate slice necklace I inherited from my Grandmother. I'd like to think good taste is genetic!

The best part of this outfit, though? The blue tribal print 'kimono,' that is actually a scarf worn as a kimono. I'm going to show you how to turn your own scarf into a breezy kimono wrap without sewing a stitch later this week. Be sure to check back, it's a wardrobe hack you don't want to miss!

What are your favorite color combinations for summer?
