This year I was honored to be asked by the lovely Miss Style Therapy herself: local stylist Heather Schwabe (posing with me above!), to be a part of the annual Wine, Women and Shoes benefit fashion show. I can't even tell you how perfect of a match this was for me, especially since the proceeds went to one of our best regional thrift stores, the Idaho Youth Ranch! And I got to represent vintage fashion in the show.
I got to wear a gorgeous beaded vintage 80's glam dress, chosen by the talented Emily Fogerson, who styled all the models representing the Youth Ranch in the show. You can see the dress below, in all it's glory, but I can't tell you how amazing it was in person. It was like someone had literally made it to fit me, personally. I loved it so much!
The fashion show was only one part of the night. There were also several performances by fabulous drag queens. Epic. They made us models look bad, they were so glorious:
And there was a contest during the night to see who could bring in and wear the best shoes, which was judged by the glamorous Tanya from Style Spy Girl. Her white dress and blue hair totally made me think of Gwen Stefani!
The winning shoe, and the best shoe of the night in my opinion, was this pair covered in legos. Legos!
For those of you who got a chance to attend, it was so nice to meet you all! And if you didn't please consider going next year. This is an amazing event and the people who make it happen could not be more wonderful, and the cause is a great one.
